Writers' Workshop
Exploring Traits of Good Writers

In English we spend a lot of time writing.  It is an important   form of communication.  Sometimes people write to make a grocery list or send a note to a friend.  Others write in a journal to express their feelings.   Reporters write to report the news or sporting events.  Poets are gifted at painting pictures and making music with words.  Writing can be easy at times, and at other times, it feels like there is nothing to write about.  During writers' workshop, we will work at sharing ideas, giving each other feedback, and applauding when we finish a piece of writing.
