HEAD COACH: DAN MYERS Coach Myers took over as skipper of the LACS baseball program in 2002. Since that time the Raiders have been to 7 straight Frontier League Championship games 8 championship games overall winning their 3rd straight crown in 2010. They have 6 league titles in 9 years and have been to sectional semifinal games 3 of the last 4 seasons with the #1 seed two of the last 4 years respectively. Coach Myers, a graduate of Lowville, played collegiately at Cortland State and Oswego State where he earned All-ECAC and All-Region honors as a second baseman. In his senior season with the Lakers he led all second basemen in the North Region batting with 8 homeruns and 32 RBI's. Coach Myers appeared in 2 NCAA Regional Tournaments and was inducted into the Oswego State Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2002. He is the director of the Double Play Baseball Camp that brings fun and learning together for players in grades 4-12 every summer since 2001. Additionally, coach Myers founded the Lowville T-Ball league in 2006 for children between the ages of 4 and 7 which currently registers over 100 boys and girls each June. Coach Myers and his wife Victoria, teach Special Education at Lowville Academy and Central School. They have three children; Jordan, Brett, and Grace and reside in the Village of Lowville.
ASSISTANT COACH: ANDY CAPONE Coach Capone is back on the bench for the Raiders, this time as the assistant. Capone led the Raiders as the Varsity coach for 10 years, prior to coach Myers taking the helm, winning a sectional title and 3 league titles. He also coached the Raiders to their best season ever with a record of 19-4 finishing 3rd in the state in 1994. His son, who graduated in 2009 is playing collegiatley on scholarship at the College of Saint Rose. Coach Capone's presence has been welcomed and calming to Coach Myers, whom once played for and coached under Capone. Capone's knowledge and "happy" approach to the game has been great for the players and staff alike.
