Alternative Book Reports
|
|
Students will read between 6 to 8 books, of their choice, for outside reading during the school year. Students must have their book choice approved by the teacher. These book reports will be graded. Alternative book reports are simply: -
reading a book of your choice - creating a prop to bring your book to life
-
creating a prop rubric to grade yourself -
completing a 5x8 card with specific information about the book -
presenting the book to your peers -
grading the audience with an audience rubric -
the audience grading you with a presenter rubric For ideas on props, students have access to a two-drawer file cabinet with over 180 different ways to present a book. Pictures of former students, with their permission of course, are included for some of the props. Alternative book reports are simply fun to do! Check out the other links under Alternative Book Reports to find specific information on the items mentioned above.
