Related Files

pdf Mrs. Sweredoski's Grading Policy (pdf file)
This document is sent home for a parent(s) signature and must be returned to school. The student also signs this document. Once it has been checked by the teacher as having been signed, the student may keep it in their reading binder or take it home.

doc Teacher/Student/Parent Job Descriptions (doc file)
Students visit the Job Descriptions at the beginning of each school year. They are given a blank document with only the categories. Together students compile a list of job descriptions. Then the document is taken home for both the student and parent(s) to read and finish completing if needed. Any revisions to the document will then be posted.

doc Willy Wonka Activity (doc file)
During the first few days of school students are given time to adjust to the Middle School setting. Each teacher goes over their own classroom policies. I use the Willy Wonka activity to inject a little humor, get students talking, and to give me the opportunity to explain my philosophies about school. Students will learn, for example, what I mean when I say "Bottle Cap."
